Hello Spring – Georgian Bay is Calling!
After a real winter this year, we are looking forward to sun, bay days, and another great boating season. Hockey bags are getting put away, snow shovels are (hopefully) retired, and it’s almost time to trade winter boots for boat shoes.
Thank you to everyone who has already scheduled their spring launch. If you haven’t yet, please try to give us at least two weeks notice so we can keep everything running smoothly. If you’re planning service work or extra projects, three weeks is even better – spring always comes fast once it starts!
When you arrive this season you’ll notice a few changes around the marina. We are currently preparing the area for our new storage building! A big thank you to Hall Construction for taking on this project with us. We’ve also given the Dock Shoppe a bit of a refresh, so be sure to pop in and check out the updated look and some new gear.
Garbage & Recycling Program
Our garbage and recycling program continues again this season and remains available 24/7 for customers who choose to participate. Customers can join the program for a yearly fee, helping us manage rising disposal costs while keeping things clean and convenient. Please remember to place garbage and recycling inside the bear-safe bins – our four-legged visitors are always watching for an easy meal!
Our new Parking Portal
Our online Parking Portal continues to help keep parking organized during the busy season. We are still ironing out the kinks, bear with us! Each slip includes one parking pass. Guest parking remains behind the Marine Store and guests should register before arriving when possible.

Fuel Up with Ethanol Free Gas
We proudly offer ethanol-free fuel to help protect your engine. Ethanol fuel can absorb water and separate in your tank (called phase separation), which can cause engine damage or poor performance. Ethanol-free fuel helps prevent this and keeps your engine running the way it should.
Good fuel means fewer headaches and more boating.
Clean Marine Commitment
We are proud to be a Diamond member of the Clean Marine Program, reflecting our commitment to environmentally responsible marina operations.
You can help us maintain this standard by:
• Using the fuel dock for fueling
• Not transporting portable jerry cans through the marina. Please keep them off the docks.
• Helping keep Georgian Bay beautiful

Pleasure Craft Licence Changes (Not Your Boating Card!)
We’ve had lots of questions about the new Transport Canada Pleasure Craft Licence changes. This is NOT your boating licence card (PCOC) – your boating course card is still valid for life.
A Pleasure Craft Licence is simply the numbers on the side of your boat, similar to a licence plate on your car. It identifies the boat, not the operator.
The main changes are simple:
• Licences now valid for 5 years
• $24 renewal fee
• Required for boats 10 HP and up
• Address changes must be updated

Marina Tip: If you purchased a boat recently, make sure the licence transfer was completed. This is one of the most commonly missed steps.

Remembering Friends of the Marina
Over the past few years, and again this past winter, we have said goodbye to a few long-time customers who truly felt more like part of our marine family. Many of you knew them from the docks, or cottage neighbours, or simply from sharing the same love of Georgian Bay. They will be they will be sincerely missed.
Our hearts are with their families and friends. We will be thinking of them often when the docks fill up this summer with our favourite people. Here, customers become friends, and friends become family, they will always be a part of our Parry Sound Marine story.
